Climbing Guadalupe Peak, Texas |
 The wildflowers on Guadalupe Peak made it an especially memorable mountain – one that will stand out for me for a long time. I can only echo Douglas Butler’s words about Guadalupe Peak in his book, A Walk Atop America: “There are good hikes. Sometimes there are great hikes. Occasionally everything comes together, creating a fantastic hike. This was such a hike. … Each bend in the trail brought wonderful sights”. I think these wonderful sights are desert paintbrush flowers. |
