The Cuban Chamber of Deputies used to meet in the capitol

Even the Sancti Spiritus provincial assembly meets in a
more impressive building (seen above) than does the

Cuba's National Assembly is currently based in this utterly
unprepossesing building in Havana's western suburbs. It is,
though, possibly an accurate reflection of the power of the
614-member unicameral assembly in the Communist state.

I wasn't allowed to go into the Cuban National Assembly
building, but Asamblea Nacional officials gave me these
booklets as a memento of my 'visit' to the legislature!
